2017 Spring Forum Highlights

Body:

We held our Spring Forum on February 24th at River Bend Golf Course and approximately 50 people took in a special session on “Re-imagining municipal water in the 21st century.” This exciting event featured keynote speaker Dr. Hans Schreier, renowned professor from the University of British Columbia, speaking on the topic of municipal water in a changing world. From low impact development to climate change, this session identified some of the key trends that will shape municipal growth in years to come. This event also featured presentations from Stantec, Trout Unlimited, and the Alberta Low Impact Development Partnership.

A special thank- you to Hans Schreier (UBC), Tyler Schafer (Stantec), Elliot Lindsay (Trout Unlimited), & Leta van Duin (Alberta Low Impact Development Partnership) for presenting at our event and sharing their expertise. A special thank-you to Nancy Hackett for assisting with the MC role. Finally a big thank- you to the Red Deer River Municipal Users Group for sponsoring this event.
