North Central Native Trout Recovery Program Information & Workshop Sessions

Alberta Environment and Parks (AEP) has initiated the North-Central Native Trout (NCNT) Recovery Program for fish species at risk in the North-Central East Slopes. These actions are expected to improve bull trout, Athabasca rainbow trout, Arctic grayling and mountain whitefish populations over a 5 year period.

The NCNT public information sessions in Edmonton and Calgary will provide a great opportunity to learn more about the program and provide ideas on how Albertans can help recover native trout. Presentations and a short question period on the NCNT program will take place in the early evening, followed by a workshop where attendees will brainstorm and discuss specific actions stakeholder groups and public members can take to help recover native trout.
