RDRWA Celebrates Water Quality Awareness Month

Here at the RDRWA we are not ashamed to admit that we nerd out over water 365 days a year. But this August, we are kicking off international Water Quality Awareness Month by celebrating our precious water resources with all of you!

Water is our livelihood and plays an important role in driving our provincial economy. Many of our jobs - from farming and oil and gas to forestry and tourism - rely directly on water. We simply cannot have healthy communities, prosperous economies and resilient ecosystems without clean water. And if that wasn't enough reason to celebrate our water, let's not forget that without healthy rivers and lakes, we also wouldn't have places to fish, canoe, or simply cool off on a hot summer's day!

August will be packed full of information and events so keep following our Facebook and Twitter pages for more tips and stories throughout this month!
