RDRWA Watershed and Nature Photo Contest

Body:

The Red Deer River Watershed Alliance (RDRWA) is looking for striking photographic images of rivers and lakes located within the Red Deer River watershed, as well as images of natural landscapes, native wildlife, recreational pursuits or actions you can take to help protect our beautiful watershed!

From Wednesday, April 24, 2019 to Friday, May 10, 2019, we want you to send us your best photos which capture the beauty of the Red Deer River watershed: its water, wildlife and people!

The Watershed and Nature Photo Contest is a celebration of our rivers and lakes, plants and animals, landscapes and moments in nature that bring us joy and happiness. We hope the contest encourages central Albertans to get outdoors and connect with nature this spring and summer!

There are 3 submission categories – check them out for inspiration!

  • Water and Natural Landscapes - Photographs of any waterbodies such as streams, rivers, lakes, creeks, wetlands, etc. or scenic landscapes in the Red Deer River watershed.
  • People in Nature - Show us your favourite way to get active in nature or your community, from canoeing to hiking to fishing.
  • Native Fauna and Flora – Photographs in this category may include pictures of native animals, birds, fish, insects, amphibians or other wildlife. When submitting in this category, include the name of the species (if known) with your submission.
