Southern Alberta WPAC Project Completed

Beginning in the fall of 2017, WPACs from the Bow, Oldman, Red Deer and South Saskatchewan sub-basins joined forces to review the implementation of the approved 2006 Water Management Plan for the South Saskatchewan River Basin. 

Thank You and Farewell to Jean Bota, RDRWA Chair

After four years on the Board of the RDRWA, most of which she served as the Chair, Councilor Jean Bota has stepped away from her position to work on other committees within the County.

AEP Suspends Lake Stabilization Licenses for Buffalo and Gull Lakes

Alberta Environment and Parks (AEP) recently announced their decision to suspend lake stabilization licenses for Buffalo Lake and Gull Lake, due to concerns over Prussian carp.
